The ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) held the Rocky Mountain Regional Math Olympics competition on March 7, 2014 at Colorado Springs Christian School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This competition is the final math competition for students in ACSI schools throughout the Region. In order to qualify for this competition, students completed four, timed tests, in either math reasoning or computation. Students scoring in the top 10% region-wide, were invited to the Math Olympics competition. More than 1200 students from 46 schools took the qualifying tests.
Seventeen students from CCS qualified for this competition and twelve were able to attend and compete. Congratulations to those twelve competitors: Jaelynn Muhr, Cameron Geary, Jeremiah Delzer, Jace Pauli, EJ Garza, Haley Holzworth, Milo Newman, Micah Schick, Caleb Muhr, Jakob Houchin, Maia Swan, and Hayden Umble. Six CCS students earned ribbons for a top-3 finish: Three students won their event.
