Dana Cardwell
Prekindergarten
Hello! My name is Mrs. Cardwell and I have had the pleasure of teaching first grade here at CCS since 2015. I look forward to begin my new adventure teaching Prekindergarten this 20/21 school year!
A little bit about myself, I grew up on a family farm near Morrill, Nebraska. I graduated from Morrill High School in 2011 and Chadron State College in May of 2015, where I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with endorsements in Elementary Education and Mild/Moderate Disabilities. This past year I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Early Childhood.
I look forward to an exciting year of discovery. What an exhilarating year we have in store for us!
I look forward to a great year with each of you and your students!
I have loved being at CCS these past few years. Ever since I began my student teaching experience at CCS, I knew there was a difference when I stepped onto their sidewalk and saw the plaque “Look, see what God has done”. Since that time, I have experienced the difference God has made not only in my own life, but in my students as well. Each year, I see the baggage my students bring in with them. Whether their bags are wallet size or duffle bag size, each student has a history they bear with them, and so do their teachers. CCS teaches them how to leave that baggage at the foot of the cross and let God be in control of their academics, and their hearts. Learning more about God, how to be like him, and be in His constant presence is why I choose to teach at CCS. Our ability to connect as a family unit; student to student, student to teacher, and teacher to parent, sets us apart from any other school. At CCS we feel like a family in our small classrooms, where we can get down to the basics of what God means to us and who He truly is. I love being able to learn, grow, laugh, and cry with our students daily. Thank you for allowing me to share in this experience with them!
